Our Mission
Dedicated Intervention Care specialises in providing short-term respite support for individuals aged 8 to 17. Our primary objective is to establish a secure and tranquil environment where children can stay engaged while acquiring essential life skills. Our commitment revolves around nurturing young individuals, helping them develop their social, communication, emotional, and behavioral abilities within a safe setting. The ultimate aim is to help them reset and recharge before transitioning to long-term placements.
We organise activity-driven programs that encompass both indoor and outdoor activities. Our approach heavily leans on cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to facilitate positive transformation.
Our Respite service offers a support ratio of 2:1 (in certain cases, 3:1) with a team of highly experienced professionals, offering children and young individuals a much-needed respite break whenever possible.
Our unwavering dedication to providing top-notch support is reflected in the qualifications of our support workers, who hold NVQ Level 2 or higher in Healthcare and/or Health and Social Care. Upon joining our team, our staff undergo further specialized training. All our operatives are MAPA trained and certified. You can find additional information about our training and qualifications on our website.

Our Staff
I have many personal interests, including spending time with my family and friends. We often go on days out and holidays together both abroad and in the UK. We spend time in the Lake District walking with the dogs, and love to be out on any of the lakes in a boat. I enjoy taking part in the fund raising for the Christie Hospital and to raise funds for the charity, performing and singing alongside current professional actors from both stage and screen. Having just raised almost £8000 for them, I am very excited and honored to start preparations for the next performance at the Lowther Pavilion in Lytham-St Annes. I love to take my 3 adopted children on fun days out, and teach them about people's different beliefs and cultures, in order to prepare them for future independence.
I am always approachable and operate an ‘open door ‘policy. I take pride in my ability to function at all levels and am comfortable in any situation that may arise by quickly assessing the level of risk and diffusing any heat, if apparent. I started my career as a Care Assistant and worked in several children’s residential Provisions across the Northwest as well as working in the community. After achieving Level 3 NVQ I wanted to expand my experience and moved to a support worker role in Crisis Management, I am currently completing my Level 5 in Leadership and Management. Whilst there I became MAPA trained and quickly elevated to a Senior Team leader role. In between shifts I utilized my NVQ and worked on the COPD ward at Whiston Hospital where my qualities were enhanced dealing with patients of various ages on the ward and during Provision visits. My future has always been in Crisis Management and that is now where my skills and knowledge can be put to best use.
